Prof. Masayuki Okawa

Professor Masayuki Okawa is a Professor at the College of Economics, Ritsumeikan University, Japan. He specializes in economic theory and international economics. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1994 and joined Ritsumeikan University in 1998. His research focuses on trade policy, foreign direct investment (FDI), imperfect competition, technology transfer in joint ventures, tax reform, economic welfare, and economic growth. He has published research in Japanese and international academic journals and has been involved in several professional economic associations, including the Japan Society of International Economics and the Japan Economic Association. He has also presented his research at various international academic conferences, including the Vietnam Economist Annual Meeting (VEAM).
